A couple of months ago my brother married the love of his life.
Unfortunately, this was a list of songs he said to me that I couldn’t request. His wife also told me that I shouldn’t request these either. No idea why.
Taylor Swift – We Are Never Ever Ever Ever Ever Ever Getting Back Together
This is appropriate because of the irony and that, people would have sat around the dancefloor and gone “Oh Taylor, you spinster, you, this is really funny that this is playing at a wedding and Richard’s sense of irony is hilarious, we must leave him lots of money in our wills”.
Beyoncé – Best Thing I Never Had
My brother’s fiancé could have listened to this song and do z-snaps and reminisce about any previous relationships with a group of friends. She could then stare lovingly at my brother from across the room.
Lady Gaga – Bad Romance
This is a really good song for dancing to so I’m sure that this would have gone down well.
Psy – Gentleman
I don’t know if you’ve seen the video to this song but he’s really lovely to all the women in it, these are definitely dance moves that the guys should have been doing to the women at the wedding.
Songs that have been missed out from the list but only just:
Beyoncé – Love On Top
Not enough key changes.
Lady in Red – (sung by some man)
She wasn’t wearing red.
I Will Always Love You – Whitney Houston
This quiet ballad was a little tame for the dance floor.
Never Gonna Give You Up – Rick Astley
Yes this would have been fine to RICK ROLL THE ENTIRE WEDDING LOL.
Anyway, so there you have it. Good job I didn’t request those.
